Which Heads For 302?
Hey everyone I will be rebuilding my 302 H.O next week, and I have some questions regarding the heads I should use. First this is a 92' 5.0L H.O out of a mustang, it will be converted to carb with edelbrock performer intake and 600cfm carb. Which stock heads will give me more power the 5.0L heads or heads of a 86' 351W H.O(carburated)?

OK first no questions asked the 5.0 is going in the truck, I dont care if you think its underpowered, it will move well enough when I am done with it. If I wanted 400 HP i'd go with a 460. I just asked which head it the best?

I dont think the mustang motor is a bad idea. in its completly stock form it has more power than the older f 150 302's. I'm not sure but i don't think one set of heads has a real advantage over the other. Are you dead set on either the stock heads or the 351 heads? Have you looked into getting the stock heads ported or have you looked into a set of used aftermarket heads?
