Blinking ABS Light

Blinking ABS Light
I have a problem- apparently something happened during the night. and this morning when I got up to go to work and started the truck, and went to shift into drive and it wouldn't shift I looked down and the ABS Light is flashing.
It flashes 16 times and then stops and recycles.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I already disconnected the battery cable and reconnected about 10 minutes later.
When I turn the key on even without starting the light starts to flash.
when I start the truck the light goes out like normal then comes back flashing.
