Welcome to FTE!!! Yes, you found the right place. There are plenty of folks here that share a same or similar truck and have been there and done that.

We love questions. They don't even have to be smart ones. In fact the dumb questions are preferred. Those make us look smarter and we all like that (LOL).

Brace yourself for some ribbing from time to time. All in good fun. You'll get the flavor quick enough and make sure you give as good as you get, Newbie!.

Welcome aboard; you have tap into the best site for truck enthusiasts around; The best part is its all FORD'S. I've learned more here than any where else; Congrats on your 51 Merc; I wish I could find one around my town area. Have fun and drive your truck and develop a plan prior to doing any resto options.
Again welcome to FTE..........

I'm very new to cars. My other hobbies are collecting Cycads and cabinetmaking. This is the best group I have ever belonged to. Since working on trucks is very new to me the group of guys that have helped on this Forum with my questions have been a big big help. I'm sure by the the time I complete I will have learned plenty. I would say have plenty of patience. My biggest mistake so far is the mechanic and painter I selected. I've come to the conclusion that you should never give anyone money ahead of time. It cost me alot of time and money.
