Pinnacle, I would like to hear of your problems because if that is the case I will take it back before I have any problems. I have the stage 1 because I was told there is no benefit in going with the radius arms but mine came with the mx-6 rezzie shocks. Also my experiens with pro-comp and the leaf spring trucks has been excellent so I figured to go with them again. I have seen the fabtech 6" radius arm lift for 1399 shipped. sounds like a pretty good deal to me considering shipping prices for weight.

I had the complete stage two kit installed by 4 wheel parts on my 2005. It had a pretty bad bump steer problem so they installed a skyjacker dual steering stabilizer kit (the steering was just fine before the kit, stock 33" Contis before and after). They left the OEM stabilizer, so between the three shocks, the steering was pretty good. I did have problems with a lot of popping noises from the track bar. They said it was just a torque problem but I compared some of the clearances to the stock bracket and there is definetly some metal to metal interferance problems with their design. There is also interferance between the right sway bar drop down link and the steering adjusting cam clamps. I also broke one skyjacker shock because the steering rod near the pitman arm dented the top of the shock. I learned that they use the same amount of drop on the pitman arm as they use on the 7" kit, this does not allow much clearance for dual opposing steering stabilizers even if you roll them down as far as they will go. The sway bar drop down brackets are also the same drop for both kits, but not for the same reason. They relocate the sway bar below the radiator hose and that puts the sway bar pretty close to the adjusting clamp for straightening the steering wheel. Mine hits pretty hard on right hand turns. A sway bar drop down bracket 1 1/2" shorter would solve the problem and still clear the hoses but no chance Procomp will make such a change. My truck has been in 4 times and several reps have tried to get it to work. The 4" lift I had on my 2000 was great, had no problems, but this is definetly not the same type of suspension. Procomp seems to want to make a "one-part-fits-all" kit and I would not recommend it. I do not drive this truck off road or hard at all.

Thanks for the info, I will have my brother call the rep and see if anything has changed. Hopefully so if not I will tell him to bring up the problems I have heard on here and see how they react. I appreciate your honesty.

Thumbs up

Everyone that I have talked to about the new fabtech 8" radius arm kit said that it is the best pre-done kit you can get today....without going with a custom lift. I have owned thier kits in the past and have been very happy with thier quality and ride. I plan on purchasing the kit myself and using fox 2.0 res shocks instead of the little gas shocks that come with the kit. I would recomend fabtech to anyone!

i talked to a rep and tech at pro-comp regaurding issues. Both said they have never heard of any bump steer problems but did say they had complaints about popping. But is completely gone after proper torqing. They also said the reason for the torque problem is because the bolt has a rib on the underside of the flange that grabs the metal when you try to torque it. The full bracket and bolt arent torqued to specs only bolt head to bracket. They said to grind it off even though its not in the instructions so that way the head will spin and allow for proper torque. Im going to give it a go.

well i gave it a go and am very impressed with fit and finish. I decided to send back my radius arm drop brakets and get the stage 2 radius arms due to all the drilling for instalation. The ride is awesome and there is zero bump steer and no places that could contact each other. we took our time installing carefully following the directions and it was well worth it. I have the 5" pro-comp stage 2 with the MX-6R Robby gordon rezzie shocks. Great kit, would highly reccomend it.
