Have a 91 F-150, 111,250 miles, with tilt steering column. Recently had the ignition actuator replaced at a local delearship. It cost me more than I would like to admit. My Chilton manual didn't have the procedure listed. Anyway, after I got the column back, I installed it in the truck. Noticed that the wheel had excessive side-to-side play. Didn't have the play before taking it in for repair. Took it back and they found that the steering column upper bearing and retainer needs replacing. I kind of figured it would be that before taking it back.
Don't want to pay them again to do the job. Anyone ever do this job?. I'm sure I could do it if I had the procedures. Can anyone provide me with a copy of the page out the manual. Helm doesn't have any service manuals currently in stock
