ford part numbers

I have been trying to look up ford parts and can not find them. I am not sure if I am putting in the wrong part number. I have the blue ford part number tag, with a yellow strip on the right side and repeats CE. first line is f17b the next line is 13a409 and then the next line is j4cpb 1j. that also repeats itself 4 times, if anyone can tell me the part number that would be great.

Thank you,
MIke

I will move one forum down.

No biggie
Some forums have explanations for what they are for or what they aren't for.

This one says No Automotive tech questions

Okay,

First, this is an electrical part. (13A409)

Next :
f17b
F stands for 90's
1 stands for 1991
7 stands for the vehicle is was designed for= Courier (1971-82) Ranger/Bronco II (1983-up); Explorer

B = the division of Ford that designed it = Body & Electrical prodcut division

My guess is a rear light part.

Hello Mikeyboats,
I show that as a 91-92 explorer taillamp connector, what you have is the engineering numbers the ford part number is F1TZ-13A409-A for without trailer tow package,
F1TZ-13A409-B for with trailer tow package. unfortunately they are both obsolete
from ford. If they are the connectors that go to the taillamp bulbs you could buy aftermarket wiring pigtails and splice them together. Hope this helps. Lewie

How about me or do you already know how I know I can get close ?

All parts have dedicated related numbers.

The differences are in the design for whatever vehicle it is.
The application can vary.

ie: like the 429/460 engine blocks

They were designed by the Lincoln engine group but used in the T-bird & large Mercury's.

!3A is an electrical part the 409 is actual part application number & the suffix is the Exact application or change-up code.

On a part:
A could equal Right side
&
B could be the left side

Have you never seen the part application codes Purp ?

Here's one to look at.

Yeah, you too Dennis!
I'm a Ford-L/M parts manager and I was just wondering if y'all were in the same business.

Purple55,
I have been in Lincoln Mercury parts for 9 years now, that's how I knew you were in parts in the ARCA engine thread. I try to help out on here when I have time at work.
Microcat makes me look real smart. Lewie
