I have a 1975 f250 with drums all the way around. I replaced the front axle with a 1986 f350 dana 60 with 2 piston disk brakes. I never had good brakes because the drums didnt self adjust, 5 pumps and i was stopping. I thought the disk brakes was gonna be the trick but now I have no front brakes. I started with no pedal at all after doing the swap I bled enough ive used 3 big bottles of brake fluid, I replaced the calipers, added a 10psi res valve to the rear and a 2 psi res valve to the front (info i found on the net said to) replaced the 75 master cylinder with a 79 set for 2 piston calipers bench bled and bled at the prop valve(stock) and at the wheels
(far to near wheel) still nothing, after adjusting the booster pushrod out as far as it would go i finally got some pedal or its just bottoming out half way down, but i do have some rear brakes now, not enough to lock them up but some. The front brakes will stop the rotor from spinning if in air with no tire on it but thats it. Does anyone know anything i can do to get some front brakes because down hill stops are not fun. i'll settle for the 5 pumps and theres the pedal again.
Any help apperciated very much Thanks.
