i would like some tips on putting acab on a1965 f250.the cab is from a1965 f100 any help would be greatly appreciated. The existing cab mounts are completely rusted away and the floorpans are also.the f100 cab has some rust but is in better shape.please help.
I just did that myself, I completely gutted the cab, seat, doors, glass. They are front heavy. I made brackets out of 3 x 3 angle. bolted them to my seat bolts. I left them long and found the balance point to be like 12'' fwd of the seat, don't remember exactly. brought my engine hoist in and picked it up through the door opening. took it off by myself. I flipped my cab on it's back and did the floors, mid brace ,cab mounts, and por 15ed the bottom. Make sure you take the cab bolts all the way out, the old pucks like to stick to the frame. Good luck.

I have changed the cab on my 66 F-100 4x4 two times using 2wd cabs and fond no defferance. I used a wide plank between the two frames and slid the cab over to my 4x4 frame, can be done alone if need be. I did all the repairs to the new cab, rust repair and under coating before putting it on the frame.
