Annoying Whistle
I own a 1993 F-150 that when the ac compressor runs and then releases pressure it makes an annoying and loud whistle. Anybody have a clue what is my problem. It does it any time the compresser is shut off...

Annoying Whistle
About a year or so ago, my '91 made a weird whistle any time I shut off the A/C. Finally, the A/C wouldn't cool the truck any more, so I got out the vaseline and took myself (and truck) to my Smirking A/C "Technician" who charged me way too much money to refill the R-12 and replace the evaporator coil, which had a leak and made a whistling sound. Your truck should have R-134a, so you probably won't need vaseline.

Still factory R-12. It cools perfectly. I have had to replace the Compressor switch twice. Where exactly did you find your leak?
