Please spend an half hour on your back looking up at the beauty of the 2005 Harley Davidson expensive 3 Valve V10 exhaust system and then come ask your questions.
If for some reason you still feel compelled to rip all that beautiful stainless steel then... just ask, and we will be more than happy to help you spend a lot more of your money.
Update on this muffler. I found that if you push the pedal harder when you get that machine gun sound, it smooths out the sound as the rpms go up. Like it even more. Worth the money.
Hi all. I am the proud owner of a new 2005 F-250/6.8L Harley. Previously, I had a D#%?!&%^ w/a 5.9L, and Flowmaster 50's... Truck aside, I did like the sound on the 5-9, but recently heard an '04 6.8L w/the same setup, and yep - kinda tinny, esp. at higher rpms. Couple questions: does anyone have any recommendations/experience w/the THREE-valve V-10 yet - with respect to exhausts? Secondly, can I get the sound you describe - deep/rumble, not crackle/rice-burner without too much inside noise out of anyone's cat-back system? Thanks in advance for any help!

skipperw,
Is it possible to get an audio of your truck? I have heard the clip on aero's sight its ok but I'm probably going to set up my truck the way you have and would love to hear the sound.
You have one of the best machines ever made by Ford and there is a LOT you can do to it.
I just like to get folks thinking about what they have before they go off dreaming about trying to make this V10 sound like a 30 year ago big block V8... ain't gonna happen and many many many folks have thrown thousands of dollars trying.
Come on back down we want to hear more about your Dream Machine
