I drive a 1993 Ford F-350 crewcab 7.3 L Turbo Diesel with 142,000 miles and id like to make some upgrades and buy accessories for the truck and havent found a place online or a catalog that sells any. Any suggestions? Also id like some general info on installing stacks? Thanks guys any info is greatly appreciated!!
Depends on what direction U want to go. On both my 94,s the first thing was get rid of the stock exhaust, the down-pipe flattens to about an inch and is only 2 1/4 dia. Go to ASTTurbo, they sell a new housing and a 3 in. down-pipe. You can order the complete exhaust or go to your local shop and have a 4 in. made. Use a sraight thru muffler. Or U can put in stacks for looks. 2nd modify the air intake system, it is way to restrictive. Diesels need fresh air in and plenty of exhaust out. Then put in a set of guages, pyro, temp for engine and trans if auto, boost and oil pressure. Once this is done U can turn up the boost and IP - always monitoring the EGT's. If U need help with the installation let me know - 2 I have done were reasonably easy the third was a nitemare.
thanks for the great info deanj, as far as air intake i found this on a seperate website. would this workout good http://shop.store.yahoo.com/hopup1/baraincoairi.html.
