Post Pre-Power Stroke Setup

I was just thinking that it might be a good idea for everyone to post their normal truck output. And basically how the truck is running. It would be great for me, I know that I'll learn normals, and would hope some people might want this info as well. I look to be adding an ATS turbo soon so i'll update when i save enough money and then post everything. Data is so scattered that it's hard to find.- anyways please post your Model engine, turbo or non turbo, and generals such as oil psi, how offend you put oil in, volts, water temp, oil temp (if you have it), boost and basically anything else..

My setup:

1987 F250 Supercab Ford 6.9 Completely stock

tire pressure all around-stock rims 50 psi

Water Temp- 185-190º warmed up and hot- pulling a one car trailer up 35º hill - 195ºF (cold night air) max speed 45mph

Oil Pressure- 40-50 psi at 1500-2200 rpm- Cold idle 45psi - Hot Idle: 15-18 psi

Volts-11 volts before & during starting - 14 once car is started and hot

Put put a quart of oil every 1000-1100 miles

And get about 20 mpg

1986 F 250 4x4 regular cab 7.3 turbo stock
1100 miles on engine
Tire pressure 70 PSI all around 285/75R16 mud tires
T19 4 speed
3.55 gears
Water temp 190 load or not (new radiator core)
Oil pressure 55 at 2000 RPM hot, 55 cold idle, 20 hot idle
Volts 12.2 before start 13.8 after start
No oil added yet, change every 3000 is regular schedule.
Average 11 MPG for the year
Haul 4 tons on the dump bed
Tow up to 14,000 on trailer
Truck weighs 8,000 empty full of fuel and normal tools loaded.
Boost with ATS turbo is 13 pounds.
3" downpipe and dual 3" stacks
Live in the WV mountains.
Truck runs great, 20,000 gross up a 10% grade at 50, have to back out of it when the pyrometer hits 1050 which does not take to long for it to do.

1989 E350 4x4 Ambulance.
7.3 IDI non turbo.
40-50 psi cold. 18-20 psi hot at idle, 30 psi above 1000 rpm.
16 mpg pulling my 19 ft travel trailer.
Just made a 3" into 3 1/2" crossover pipe, then 3 1/2" exhaust into a home made muffler, made a dramatic improvement over stock.
No idea how many miles on engine, I just bought the vehicle last October, and the valve cover has "Dealer remanufactured engine" sticker, truck has 106,000 miles.
Change oil evry 4000 miles, don't need to add any.
Water temp 190 no load, 200 pulling.
Tire pressure, 50 psi in the front 33" Pro-Comps, 60 psi in the duelly rears.

humm not sure, i was heading to bakersfield via the 5 north fwy. right up by magic mountain. If you know the road then it's pretty steep, I'm pretty sure that's about the angle. Oh and would you mind posting your truck?

7% is about the max grade for interstates, I drove trucks cross country for years.

We have a couple of 12% grades here in WV on the state highways, but that is as steep as I have seen anywhere.
Saw some of those out in Colorado when I use to live there also.

90 f250 4x4 sc lb zf 3.55 accell kool blue no soup bowl, ride-rite air bags on front (ala dave S (great idea)) 50 psi MT 80 loaded currently pulls 31' TT reasonably well. the hill your talking about is the grapevine 6 % . I used to run it twice a week out of portland seems to have a very undeserved bad reputation considering how wide and gentle the bends are compared to many others though it is about 5 mile of pull it can be done at 80,000 lbs and 50+ mph.
