hello f150guys i have a 1990f150, my a/c was working awhile back and now it doesent. there is no power going to my a/cpump. there is still pressure in my hoses. i am not sure how much. is there a fuse thati can check somewhere in the hood or a plug. all the fuses in the dash are good.i will greatly appreciate any HELP.
I had the same problem with my 93, turns out it was the cycle switch. You will need to have an experience mechanic do it because freon will leak. I believe the switch was about $30, then the a/c was really cold.
You may not have enough freon to trip the presure switch. You need to hook up A/C guages to check the correct presure. The switch does not normaly go out, it is more than likely low on freon
