Hey yall just traded in the 92 F-150 and got a 02 Lariat 5.4 auto Xcab dang that things faster then the 5.sl0w. heres my question, every o6ther truck ive owned as soon as the needle went over D it was in gear ready to go forward, this new one somtimes like that but somtimes i have to wait like half a second or so before it engages, is there a sensor that might be not responding? Thanks guys

My Expy has the same problem. You shift it to gear (drive or reverse) then wait for seems like sometimes up to 2 seconds before it kicks into gear. I haven't checked the tranny fluid since I bought it six months ago, so I should probably do that, but I'd like to know how to fix this also.

my truck does the same thing. it is only a second. but you can still tell. i just thought it was normal for these trucks. my dads does the same thing. i will be looking forward to a few fixes.
