rear brakes

I am restoring a 1978 ford f100 in South Africa and only have part of the rear brakes and cannot find a diagram can anyone help with picture of the brake shoe assembly especially the lower spring and holder

This is for 67-72 but I can't see any difference to a 78, should be enough info to get you going (or stopping, as the case may be) GL

I have noticed the backing plates on these trucks get grooves cut in them where the shoes land (three high spots per) that can seriously impede proper function. Check yours out. I don't think even the Chinese are making new backing plates, so I weld tthem back up and grind em back down flat, add a very small dab of grease so the shoes can slide easly. Hope I'm not telling you what you all ready know. BW
