Ball Joints
I have a 2002 F250 SD 4X4 the front end starting to Clunk every time I steer hard left to the stops and when I turn back to center I get the same Clunk noise out of the front end I think it is a Ball Joint any Ideas I dont think it is a tie rod end but I could be wrong.
I purchased this truck 2 months ago is this a comman problem with this truck.
Any ideas from any one else.

well, i bought a 99 f250 sd, and i had a ball joint go bad on the driver side VERY shortly after i bought it..... anyways, to check it, just jack the front up, and you can do it one side at a time. while the tire is off of the ground, try to see if there is any free play in the ball joints by jarring the tire. the top and bottom will move in and out if they are bad... and it doesnt take much movement to make a lot of noise !! just be sure to change both balljoints on that side if you do find another one..... its definately a job for the do-it-yourselfer !!! dealers want way too much, and its not a hard job at all.... took me almost 3 hours the first time.... good luck !!!
