Transmission swap
Ok....Well I have the tranny in...what a pain....especially by yourself....it pays to invest in a very good tranny jack....manuals are light enough for me to muscle in, but not a C6...I rented a jack ot True Value....what a piece of junk...anyhow, I have everything I need to do this little project, except the tranny cooler lines. Gonna have to make some I guess. Transfer case went in good, but the linkage was a pain in the a**....finally got that hooked up, I have the rear driveshaft in...fit perfectly. The front one needs new U-joints, no biggie...The worst is yet to come though....the shifter....book says if it's not done right, i could screw up the shifter, tranny or both....OH BOY! I plan too have it running and on the road by Saturday.....Anybody need some spare parts? Got a rebuildable Mazda 5 speeder, two driveshafts that are in excellent shape, and other small assorted parts that I don't need. Don't want the yards to get this stuff if someone else could use it....
