The straight axle ride and handling needs a matched set of good springs (Posie supersliders would be the first choice, stock or reversed eye replacements smoothed and teflon lined with leaves removed second. Mine came with the latter.) a set of good shocks valved for the deflection rate of the springs used or adjustable, and a proper sized sway bar. Too many people use whatever shocks are cheapest/easiest to mount, rusty crusty binding springs that are too stiff, and no swaybar or whatever the aftermarket catalog says fits (or worse "universal fit") then complain the ride is harsh or rocks like a rowboat in a storm.
