how to remove windshield post trim?

Hi guys, I recently bought a 2002 E-150 Ford conversion van that was converted by LA West.
I just bought a self dimming mirror that has a compass built into it and I want install it.
How do you remove the windshield post trim so I can hide the wires that I have to run?

Thanks, Phil

you mean besides.......carefully? They usually just pry off. Work slowly. The Plastic has (metal)clips that go into the post.

I believe Fordcr is correct. While I have not had the windshield post trim off, I have pulled off ALL the rear plastic panels in a 2003 15 pass E350 and they were held in by metal clips that were attached to the plastic. The metal clips pushed into slots cut into the sheet metal.

CAREFULLY, slowly and with some type of wide soft surface prying tool is the best way. You might also look for screws that may hold a panel on.

Good Luck.
