Thanks to all who answered my last post about the noise in the suspension and the vibration. The U joints were BAD, and we haven't found the other yet.
Now a NEW problem. The air intake on the turbo blew off- my mechanic fixed it and unplugged the battery as the truck seemed to be on "limp mode" no power and transmission not shifting right. Still the same. I have an appointment with the dealer Tuesday am but would like some feedback from you guys so I can have an idea of questions to ask. Anyone???
Mine went into "limp mode" because the "Electronic Throttle Control" warning light came on, (the wrench), consiquently the check engine light came on. there was TSB out on this. the dealer changed my TPS (Throttle Position Sensor), reprogrammed my computer, and did another diagnostic check. everything is great now.
I noticed the other day that I have oil coming from my turbo air intake hose (i think that's what it is). Is that the point where most people lose the hose? What would be causing the oil to leak from there?
Today we limped into the dealership and it appears the problem was with the air intake being just a "hair" not on well enough. They fixed that, but there is problems with the turbo so ordered one- apparently Ford has them on backorder so must be a problem- and reflashed the computer. On my drive back home, the display read 22.4 mpg! I am very happy about that- hope it lasts!!
