Not Starting.

I have a 04 Lariat SCREW 4x4 all bells and whistles but was screwed over on skid plates. Anyways my problem is my truck will not start. The battery isnt dead and everything else is working like the radio, a/c, etc...Its pretty much blocking my driveway. I called the Ford Roadside Assistance at around 3:00 PM today and its almost 9:00 PM now. But thats another story. So what do you think is wrong with my truck and is it major. Also where would i post the gripe about the Roadside Assitance?

I cancel my gripe about the Assistance thing. The 2 guys were cool they were very busy. My truck made the flat bed look small. The winch had a hard time pulling it up there. Then when the flat thing had to go up. They had to use some special motor for it to go back up onto the truck or something along those lines.

There is a fuel shut off switch on the passenger side foot area. It's near the inside fuse panel. It's supposed to shut off the gas supply in the event of an accident. It's possible that it may have triped and shut off for no reason, but since it's already at the dealer, this is kind of late information. Let us know what it ended up being.

If it cranks but will not start check the fuel shut off switch which is behind the fuse panel(Bad Location). I had to reset mine four days after I got my 04.

Um, you never mentioned the remote start... Anyone who has problems starting should always go to any remote start or alarm system first, everytime.
Good luck with it, hope they have someone who has a clue. Most shops don't have anyone that does electrical, exept by the book.

One of my friends had the same problem. It was a sensor. The same sensor that prevents the engine from starting when the motor is already running. (I don't know which one it is but it has to do with the gas pedal also)??

Woot! I got my truck back! They had to call in the guy who installs the remote start systems to repair it and he was very vague he didnt say what was wrong with it he said "it must be a loose wire" or something along those lines. The Service manager thinks its not a loose wire. Anyway I went to go pick up my truck tried starting it and it didnt start so (same story as above) They fixed it again I picked up my truck that night and I was happy till this mornin... It wouldnt start manually pressed the remote start key thing and it started so on monday im going back and we shall see what becomes of that remote star.
