I've got a '92 Ford F150 2WD 3.9L Automatic. At about 10,000 miles it started to jerk when it shifted. It dosen't do this all the time and isn't doing it now and wont do it when I have a mechanic look at it. Has anyone else occured this and what can be done to fix it?
This is going to sound funny, but sometimes a plugged up fuel filter will play tricks on your shift points. Take off the filter and blow through the inlet side if its very difficult to blow through, change it. If it doesnt solve the problem then you just extended the life of the pump. Either way its a win win situation.
Good luck.
