I have 94 Ford F150 Xl with a 4.9 in it. The guy I got it off of, had been driving it for a long time with out putting transmission fluid in it, and when it shifted it was a hard shift. Its an automatic, but feels like its a standard shifting. I added 5 quartz of Automatic Transmission Fluid to it and it lessened the hard shifting, but didn't make it quit. Any ideas of what to do stop it, what I should check for, or how lessen the hard shifting?
