Well though I would post up the racing dates I know of, and anyone that has others (wildestallyn hopefully will post up with Osceola, Guthrie center, and greenfield)
straight line mud drags:
Reasonar IA, July, 3, Aug, 7; sept, 4; oct, 2
Lamoni June 25th
I will post any others I find when I find them, and hopefully some of you can post up some too so I can find somewhere else to run too.
Sorry for the late notice but I just heard that their is a mud drag in Glenwood, IA (my home town) this coming Sunday, 06/26/05. Not sure on time but could find out if needed. The past couple years it has been in the early afternoon (1:00 or 2:00).
I don't think I will make the 26 since I am racing sat night in Lamoni, but please post up whenever you find out about them cause you never know I might make it or someone else might try too. so if you can find out exactly when go ahead and post that too.
OK, here's what I got- Osceola-july 3rd, july 10th, august 27th. Guthrie Center- july 9th, august 20th, september 4th and 5th. Greenfield-july 24th, august 27th, and sept. 17th. Theres also two at Anita, one on july2nd but I dont know the second date yet. Mt. Ayr is having one on july 17th and another in late summer or early fall TBA. All of these are obstacle type mud races with the exception of Mt Ayr which is what you might call Chicago style (like monster trucks sometimes do)- theres only one oval shaped track and the competitors start at 180 degrees opposite one another, but moving in the same direction, whoever gets bak to where they started from first is the winner.
Mt. Ayr has been running this way for the past two years, except now they will have a concrete bottom in their track. Unfortunately its looking as if we wil only be taking my dad's 79 Bronco for stock class and use my 67 Bronco with small tractor tires for outlaw class because of some overstressed transfer case issues with my regular outlaw.
I'm a lil out of the loop but i saw that at oceola they now have a street stock class. DO they now have streeet stocks at guthrie center? When they say stock engine if i swaped in a "stock" (factory ford) 4 bbl intake on my truck can i run street stock????

Rob, right now I'm planning on bringing Melissa to Reasnor on Sunday, but her parents are being a PITA about her Explorer, so I might end up having to switch gears and go up there tomorrow. We'll see, she's upset cause she knows I want to go see you run. Is the truck ready to rip some chevit's a new hole?
Well I believe the truck is ready runnin pretty good, now as far as bringing her tomoorow, that race is in Anita, IA starts at around 12:30, then we have one in reasoner on sunday. Sure hope you can make it to one of them.
getting there from hwy 14 is easy look for the sign for reasoner there is a substation on that corner into reasoner and turn left to stop sign follow signs to the drags, you will make a right at the stop sign then a left onto a gravel road and another right but there is signs pointing the way or if you want you can meet me somewhere if you want to get there a little earlier adn follow me in
racing starts at 1 sign in by noon, cost is $5 for spectators or $10 for pit pass.
I'm going to skip service and just go to Sunday School tomorrow morning..so I'll be meeting missy for lunch at 11:30 or so and hopefully get there between 12:30 and 1:00.
Rob's truck is AWESOME. It was everything and more in person then in picture/movie. Really a crowd pleaser, especially when he ramps up at 45 degree's off center, his wife and my girlfriend both about had heart attacks, while I'm in the background on the video going woah woah woah. Course, his wife was filming and pointed at the ground. Again. ^_^
Anybody who can, DEFINATELY make it to the next mud drag you can make it to. I wanted to take a run.
Thanks for the compliments Jacob glad you could make it and finally nice to meet Missy. Yeah I really would like to have seen that one run but instead I got a good view of the grass again.
