New Shocks
It's time again. I need new shocks again. Last time I put factory Ford shocks on. I am really considering Bilsteins this time. What is the consensus here?I really want to get some of that buckboard, bouncy wouncy, floundering feel out of it. I don't care about a smooth, baby soft ride. It is a three quarter ton truck after all right?
I'd like to know what some of you have gone through and what you did and did not like about your choices.

Howdy neighbor! I live just the other side of the Brazos River near the State Park. Glad to hear from a local boy. I have the Rancho RSX shocks on my "01 4X4. I am pleased with their performance. Handles better around curves and has less bounce. I got mine for one of those buy 3 get 1 free deals with free shipping. Cost averaged about $37.50 a shock. I, also, bought a new steering stabilizer at the same time. They discounted the stablilizer $10 with the order.

I put 97,000 on the factory shocks before I changed them out for the Bilsteins. They seem to do very well on the psd's. I've ridden in other psd's with different manufacturers shocks and they seem to be just as good as the Bilsteins, but maybe won't last as long.
