I have a 89 Bronco with the 351w and C6. I need to put in new gears. The 3.08 are not cutting it. I am currently running 33s on it and will be putting 35s on it when I need to replace the tires. what would be the best gear for me I run mainly in mud and I tow our trailer. I'm thinking 4.11. What would you run??
i second the 4.56 . my uncle has a 78 f250 4door 4x4 with a 390 and 410's running 35's. there just isnt enough gear there for him to tow really heavy loads. he kicks himself for not going 4.56 to begin with.
Unsing the chart I have, running 4.10 gears with 35" tires will yeild a 3.35 (equivalent) final ratio. The 4.56's willl give you almost the equivalent of 3.78 based on original 29.5" tires. I have to go with Kem, the 4.56's for towing and off road.
