In shop again

My 04 f-150 with 4.6 is in the shop again. This time they have agreed to replace the rotors if I purchashed new pads. Also had it looked at for severe missing. They said #1 cylinder had no compression and that the head needed replacing. Anyone hear of this issue

I've heard of little or no compression in some cylinders, but thats usually on OLDER trucks. You still have the truck under waranty unless you have unbeliveable miles. I really don't think your truck should have any type of problem with compression unless something is really wrong.

Hope everything works out,
Matt

well I was supposed to get the truck back today but now the dealer is going to replace the other head also. This is not making me feel very comfortable about this truck. 25,000 miles and both heads need replacing. I am concerned about what happens when it is out of warranty.

I suspect either you have had a pinging or detonation problem, or there was a factory fault in the head gaskets. I've seen a number of cars/trucks over the years with bad headgaskets from the builder.
Good luck, and keep us posted.
Chris
