So I drop my wifes car at the dealer. I have the ESP warrenty. The dealership has done ALL the repairs included the bodywork. When my darlin' wife rear-ended another driver. They even replace the transmission at 35950 miles.
It's 2001 Focus.
The has done a no-start on a couple of different times. The intail diagnosis was bad battery, I had just bought a new battery. Since I've gotten a bad battery brand new. I took the battery to the 'Zone. The battery tested good but low. They charged the battery. I took the battery back to Ford. End of the no-start...for now.
While it was in the shop, I had them check out a "tired rubbing" noise. The noise to me sounded like tires rubbing on a fender. The dealer diagnosis was a broken motor mount. Fixed...for now.
Two weeks later..no start again and yes the tire noise is back. I take the car back and it's a bad alternator. Fixed I hope.
Tire noise, the service tech tells me it's bad tires. Huh? I've got ove 5000 miles on these tires. The noise didn't start intill the dealer replaced my transmission at 35950 miles.
