inspection

i have an 86 f150 with a 3 inch body lift and 35x12.50 tires. It failed inspection because the tires stuck out about 2 inches past the side of the body. Does anybody have any ideas so i dont have to put fender flares on the tire wells? I really dont want to drill any holes in my truck. i bought the truck like this so i dont have stock tires. anyone have any ideas??? -logan

You could go to the junk yard and buy a set of stock rims and tires to get you thru inspection, then replace 35's after inspection. Works here in Connecticut.

Other option, if you have a buddy running Ford rims and a set of 33x10.50's, could borrow them for the inspection and get it through. That would give you the 2 inches less you need, and not look like you're just trying to scrape through the inspection with that big lift kit.

I think they have the fender flares that dont require any drilling or cutting, but im not sure if they have one for your application
