well, its 100pm, i just did two tree jobs this morning, bid them low so i could get the jobs and do them today. both trees were blown completly over, bid the first one for $300.00 and the second one for $275. the dump fee was $100 for the day to get rid of the wood and brush, and i had my nephew help me so i owe him some cash. today was a good morning for me, i could use a storm like that every day. business was slow for me over memorial day weekend, had to put out flyers in the newspaper this sunday which helped also.
anyone else have some stories from last nights storm in Minnesota??
Yeah, I know you said Minnesota but I am Canadian, so there!
It was windy here the other day. We go no calls for tree damage (that's all that matters to us, right!) until TWO days later. That's what always happens. A few days/weeks later when there is no breeze the tree/branches start falling.
Got a call at about 7pm at night for a tree that split in half and was going to fall over. So, I went out with my dad and brother and we cut it down (by we I mean I did).
Then today we got a call from our Pastor who has a tree in front of one his rental units that is starting to split apart. Probably gonna cost him a pretty penny ($1500?) to get it cut down. Might do it tomorrow.
Matt- you totally hijacked this thread... being Canadian and all... but ill let this one slide!
i just got another call for a large ash tree i gotta do tommorrow, storm damage. somehow i have to fit that in between a Golden Valley job for my brother, another Coon Rapids job for him, a Inver grove Heights job removing some wood and stumps for my customer... throw in that large ash tree and itll be another full day. im making great money this week but its hard not to feel burned out...
