As some of you know, my wife has been undergoing treatment for cancer. Last Friday things went really sour. After three days in Wesley Hosp. (Wichita), she has been transfered to the hospice unit at Via Christi Hosp., also in Wichita. The prognosis is from 3 days to a week, possibly a little longer. The main goal of the hospice unit unit it to make her passing as painless and gentle as possible.
I would really appreciate your prayers to accomplish just that. She is a very neat lady that didn't deserve this, At this point, this is the best that I can hope for.
Gordo,
So sorry. I have a friend that is dying of cancer also. I couldn't imagine losing a spouse. My prayers are with you and your wife and as always the Kansas Chapter will be here if you need anything.
Gordon,
That is sad news, She will be in our thoughts and prayers. Hang in there best you can and be there for her.
My dad developed non-hodgkins lymphoma a couple years back, ended up beating the cancer, but the chemo gave him congestive heart failure and a host of other problems. Recently he decided to come off his heart meds because even though it makes his heart stronger, it also makes him feel very crappy. So he decided he would rather feel better even if it shortens the time he has left.
