The probloem is, when i press on the gass petal i can feel the car move forward, but after about 1 second there is a loud thunk noise comming from the belly of the truck.
I sounds like something haveing to play catch up, as if there were two involved gears and the gears had different gaps in the teath, and one would have to move and hit the other before they would ingage.
Any ideas? Thanks

I'm guessing by your screenname that you have a '96 EB with a 5.8L, go figure. Check your u-joints and drive shafts first. At high mileage, I've seen some slop in the third member on some open diff trucks/Bronco's. Make sure your u-joints are in good shape first, though. Post what you come up with.
