Torque Coverter Buzz
Just droped my 03 / V10 off at the dealer for what I told them was a heat sheild noise in the exhaust. Only happens under light load and goes away with more throttle. Service writer tells me the mechnic thinks its Torque coverter buzz and they want to send it to the trans. shop. Anybody ever heard of this or is this guy pullong my chain.

Most of the time, the 'buzz' is only a dinky sheetmetal torque converter shield that is rattling. Bending the shield away from the transmission body will stop the noise most of the time. I couldn't imagine sending the dang truck into the tranny shop for this noise, it takes less than 5 minutes to identify and fix on your own!
