Just bought a 64 F100. Its solid green and not a custom cab. I really like the two tone paint that I've seen on some 64's (i.e white hood, top of cab, etc, but green bottom), but want to keep the truck in original or near original specs. Did Ford paint any non-custom cab f100's two tone or were they all solid single color?
BTW: thanks for the tip on sms auto fabrics. they had a vinyl that matches my original turquoise/dark blue/green vinyl perfectly...
Every non-custom cab I have ever seen were a soild color. The two tone was a custom cab thing. If you look at my photo gallery you will see my truck. It was a non-custom cab that I just had painted two tone teal green with a blue pearl with a dark metallic flake grey and I had the custom cab crome strip painted on it in silver.
How about a solid color Custom Cab? My '65, which I'm sure is original, is a CC and is all Rangoon Red. Eventually I'll paint it and also like the two-tone.
I have seen a few CC's that were soild color, but not many. There is one here in town that is tu-tone, red and white, but the roof is white life the hood and not red like you would think.
my 65 CC is soild and all way was unless some one was realy good a sanding it down with out leaving any marks as i stripped a good part of it when i painted it.
