Seen this product on ebay, talked to the seller apparently it just sprays on the glass and provides a tinted window?Anyone hear tell of a product like this before?????? it cost $18 a can Canadian including shipping.Do or Don't I need info-thanks,jeff
no never seen it or heard of it before you mentioned it.
although it sounds incredibly close to tailight tint I have sen people use. You spray it on the inside of your tailight housings to tint them.
But just think about it...you would have to mask off your entire interior to apply it for one. Second, what happens when you get water on it (i.e. rain) I would bet it runs. It it doesn't run then it is a permanent application and who wants that? I would stake my paycheck on the fact that it looks like garbage when its applied.
It's been around for years,we did a Nova about 20 yrs.ago in high school. It sprays on the inside of the windows, and makes 1 helluva mess.Like roastdawgg said, you have to tape everything (and then some),it's hard to clean up,never as dark as you think it will be,and takes alot of it to get good coverage.
I bought a can of the spray on tint from autozone back in 1993 and sprayed it on the rear window of my truck, and it ran in spots, didnt look like tint at all. after cleaning it off, I bought a roll of 15% limo tint that was cheeper. had enough to do my rear window, the wing glass on both doors, and passenger window. I cant cover the drivers side window because of kentucky state law
Wow. I hadn't heard about that stuff since the mid '80s. I didn't know they still made it. I've only installed window tint film in my vehicles. I don't think I'd waste my time with any spray on product. (It sounds kinda hokie to me,....kinda like spray on hair for bald people. hehehehehe) Something to keep in mind is good quality window tint should be fairly abrasion and scratch resistant. I bought mine from a commercial window tinting company. They tint the large all glass buildings. It is very durable and takes a beating. I question how easily the spray on tint would chip or flake off when scratched??
