clunk clunk from front left wheel

clunk clunk from front left wheel
Hi All -
So I had not driven my 95 ( 302 + e40D indy suspension front end W D44) on the freeway in quite a while today coming home it starts riding rough and clunk clunk noises start coming out of the front left wheel at speed and continue at the same rhythm relitive to what ever speed I go. 2 or 4 wheel makes no difference.
I get it home jack up the front wheels and turn them to listen for the noise but when it is unloaded it does not make the noise.
It feels like a bearing loading up then freeing over and over , anyone have any thoughts ? Maybe a wheel bearing gone bad ?
YOu guys are alwyas oon it soo I am sure someone knows what this is

I think you are on the right track. Best to just dis-assemble the left front and start looking for pieces and shavings of metal. If it were the radius are bushing, I don't think it would change the speed of the "clunking" with the speed of the vehicle. You could be looking at replacing the bearings, or maybe even inner parts of your hub. At least none of that is expensive.
