try changing your fuel filter once a year, easier on your fuel pump, also lube the top seal before assembly

what should you lube it with? diesel?

yes, inorder for the seal to set properly. I used kleen diesel fuel treatment and actually filled the bowl with the treatment instead of diesel to lub and clean the injectors. All infor. I have came from this forum, I tried it and everything worked great.

.. wouldnt that be rather harsh on the injectors and maybe even your engine?? I thought the diesel kleen was supposed to be added in a full tank of fuel to dilute it, adding it directly to the engine (pretty much) i wouldnt imagine would be too good.

The advice came from a member of this forum and for me I'm a greenhorn with most mechanic work that is the reason I gave the credit of all the information to the previous forum. When I added it to my truck I didn't suck out the existing diesel out of the bowl and the diesel kleen actualy added was maybe 2-4oz. Hard on the motor or not I was taking the advice of someone I thought was more expirence... I may pay for it in the long run.
