Hi all...new here...just got an '89 Ranger 5 sp to run around on because I'm putting too many miles on my '04 150 4 door with the 5.4 ( love this truck ). Think I am going to love the Ranger too as soon as I fix a couple of small things.
1) The tach doesn't work....is this a common thing for this truck? If so can anyone help me with the fix? I got a Haynes shop manual and cannot tell from it what wire goes where on the tach, manual seems to be kind of lacking on the wireing digraim.
2) The AC won't hold R12. The previous owner said that it would hold a charge for about two years before it leaked down. I may just charge it. I don't know I like having things work correctly...it's like the tach, I don't need it but want it to work !!!
Great site and I'm glad I found it ( I read 60 of the 535 pages on rangers last nite !! )
