At about 14k miles the stealer had to replace the left hub (ESOF), it wouldn't totally disengage from 4x4. It would grab and jerk during slow turns. It's not noticed during highway driving, except for the drop in fuel economy. Well, it's doing it again at 39k miles and I'm only getting about 575 miles from a tank instead of 650 or so and doing that grab/jerk in the slow turns.
Back to the stealer again, should be a free fix.
Any ideas what could cause this?
I use the manual on the hub to lock them and the switch on the dash to engage the 4x4. The dealer mech said to do it this way if I could.
did the dealership check out the vacuum lines for the hub? maybe there is a pin hole leaking causing the hub to act up like it has been. i think it is alittle strange to have the hub go out again.
Odd thing happened...
Just for grins and giggles I cycled the hub lock and it now acts as it should, it seems to totally disengage now.
Should I still take it bach to the stealer again?
This hub has about 20k miles on it, total 4x4 miles on the hub is about 250, including the 180 miles when I perceived it was still locked after a highway run.
