question on brakes

i have a 2003 f150 2wd. i havent really got a good look at my brakes. i just bought cross drilled and slotted rotors and i was wondering do you have to take out the wheel bearing in the back to put the rotors on? and the front?

excuse me if this question is stupid but i work at an import dealership so when doing brakes you dont have to touch wheel bearings.

The rotors come off after you remove the caliper, but they are usually rusted on and you will need to hammer them off.brakerepair.php

that thread was for 4X4, i have a 2wd, is there a difference? i know the basic stuff (like removing the caliper and wheel and mounting bracket) i just dont know about the wheel bearings. i was told i might have to remove the front wheel bearings and grease them in order to pull the front rotors off.

You do have to remove wheel bearing on the heavier duty trucks, like my dad's E-350 I did last weekend. You can always take a wheel off and take a look for yourself, then you will know for sure.....
