97 F150 rear diff cover?

How can I tell what size my rear diff is so I can get a chrome cover for it?(97 f150 4x4)I know I've been a ford owner since last fall but I'm still learning so I don't mean to sound stupid with some of the ?'s I ask--thanks,jeff

I have 97 2WD and I have an 8.8" rear diff, I betting you also have an 8.8" rear diff

it depends on the engine size. 4.2 and 4.6 models have the 8.8. 5.4 models have the 9.75
