Steering play
Hi !
I am relatively new to trucks. One of the things that I am trying to fix in my 1979 F100 (among many others !!) is the play in the steering wheel. It does not seem tight. What are your recomendations?

I would first check the front end, tie-rods,kingpins,radius-arm and axle pivot bushings.Also check the ragjoint (coupler from column to steering box).If there's no play in anything then make sure everything takes grease.A tight kingpin or tie-rod can cause "oversteer" which is often confused with "play" in the steering.
