whadia figure?

This guy in town has a black 79 for sale and im interested in how much he wants for it, word on the street was that he bought it for 12 grand, but that seems high. the body is all in good shape, new black paint on it, got the chrome and stuff, its an F-250 custom, it has a D60 in the back and I think a 44 up front, its got leaf front suspension, the interior is in excellent shape.has what looks to be 4 inches of lift. Buti ts not a good frame off rebuild cuz none ofthe running gear and frame is painted, I didnt look under the hood but I dont think it has any engine work done to it, not anything major anyways. what do you guys think this thing would go for, cuz im sure my ol man would be interested if it was a decent price.

Three thousand American only equals five Canadian dollars!? Man, you guys have really turned your economy around!

Five thousand Canadian sounds about right. The tough thing about putting price tags on these things is that they are all regional. 3k is about right for my area, but for all I know its a rare truck where you are. Somehow I don't think thats the case though, eh?

well its hard to find a good one, but this town has like 2thousand people in it max, and there are probably 5 or 6 that are in good shape or at least worth looking at, and the odd one here and there for parts. this one place on the rez has like 5 or 6 in his yard and has a nice bronco and a decent F-150 ...so I dunno

That's a little high. I've seen very similar trucks for 5-6K american quite often. I bought my last project truck for under 1000 american. It's a 79 F250 4x4 with 400, C-6, NP 205 combo. It's rough, but it is all there and relatively un-molested. The only thing missing is the smog pump and the door panels. Everything else is basically all there except the trim pieces which I don't like anyway.

I'd say around 5-6k for all that too. The swapped in late model D60 and dual detroits is a big plus. So whatever that works out to be in canuck money.

LoL yeah you can find alot of good parts on the rez where the person has no idea what they have...i'm pry the only fullblood white boy that lives in the heart of the pine ridge rez and you can find just about ANYTHING somewhere vehicle wise on the rez sitting in somebodies front yard...or in the kitchen for that matter

Yeah Crack my dad has been looking for one of those truck up here for ever and everyone wants a lot.

And over the past year i've been pricing parts and what not for the dana 60's for up here. A single detriot for a dana 60 front is 1g installed, and if it had gears shoved in it add another 500bucks to that price, and a front 60 will run you a minimum of 1500 canadian (unles you find a wrecked rig truck then you can pick an entire truck up for 1 g), if the body is in good shape then and it runs good reguardless of what the running gear is and what tires it has the price will run you a min of 3500-4g for a 4wd 8-79 truck. So i would assume that a 8-9g asking price (roughly 5500-6000 american exchange rate is around $.80) would be a good deal.
