Has anybody had a problem with you air filter getting wet when driving in the rain? Ford has a deflector kit that is installed to fix that problem. I only found out after replacing my filter. These trucks don't run very good with a rainwater soaked filter! I got the info from TSB # 17535. They will order & install a service kit # 4C3Z19E671-AA. I had to bring this to my dealers attention. They had't heard of this! I had them put this in at the same time as they replaced my turbo. J
Huh?? What? have you been driving through the lake? I've Zoodaded and live here in northwest Washington. Driven in wet snow and heavy rain. Never gotten the air filter wet at all.
The water comes in through the hole in the radiator support where the front plastic part of the air filter is attached. Water collects in the bottom of the filter snorkle and is picked up into the rest of the filter. I guess!. J

hand dryer's in truck stop bathrooms will dry them, in about 30 min....
My first experince with a soaked filter happend in April 04 when I drove from home (Bartlesville , OK) to Talledga, Al in a constant rain! I took it out and let it dry while camped out at the race track. I asked the mechanic at local dealer when I got back in town about this. He said that he would check this problem out. Of course that was the last I heard untill I found the TSB about it and brought it to his attention.! J
