Stock lift kit??
Did Ford ever offer a "lift-kit" option in 88??
I have an 88 SB 4x4 and when I went to replace the shocks the parts guy asks if it has a lift kit. I usually say I don't know since it looks the same as when I bought it used and I don't know if the previous owner had a kit put on. The regular auto-parts store said they don't carry shocks for lifted trucks, so I went to NAPA.
I wanted to get some cheap shocks for the rest of the winter and NAPA never asked if I had a lift kit and sold me a set of shocks that look like they will fit fine.
Any reason the regular light duty shocks wouldn't work? If the truck does have a kit on it, it must be really short (like 1") since the truck doesn't look lifted to me. Anyway I can tell for sure??
BTW: The truck has the Quad suspension which just increased the shock cost by two more shocks (damn!).
