Boost drops off while accelerating

01 PSD with 4" exhaust, intake, and diablo predator. Problem is when I am accelerating there comes a point where the turbo kicks off and I have to push the pedal further down or let off for the turbo to come back on-line. Just had my PCM updated two months ago, didn't fix problem.

Thanks Titan.

Is the boost falling off according to a gauge? Or do you just feel a lose in power?

If it's by gauge.....you may have a leak going to the gauge.

If it's a lose in power......you should probably have your turbo looked at. Unless your pushing the boost past 24 PSI, in which case the MAP sensor is shutting you down. There are fixes for that.

Another reason would be if you are over revving the engine.....the PCM will start de-fueling if the revs get too high.

Thanks touchofgrey, it is for sure a loss of power. Not sure if I am pushing that much boost as I do not have gauges. Will see if I can hook up the predator and get that info while running. Not overrevving as it happens about 2500 to 2600 rpm. What fixes are out there for the MAP sensor and what do they do. Thanks Titan.
