I have purchased a couple of shift kits from them. The kits weren't their's, but were made by TransGo. I don't know if they are creating anything themselves.
The places I'd look for a bulletproof TC are below. They do their own products for the most part.
I'm using the Precision Industries "Stallion" torque convertor, especially made for Powerstroke Diesels.
You can see it at http://www.converter.com/stallion_power.htm if you like, which has the billet front cover and is a "triple-disk" torque convertor.

Works great for me!

I just went up on their site. I was impressed by the "no nonsense" approach they take about their products. What was the price if you don't mind me asking?
Triple-disk? How's the noise on that?
Most '99's have a double-disk TC, so it makes them a lot noisier than the later models with only a single disk. I always think more is better, but the noise can be annoying, just wondering how the triple disk compared.
I just bought and put in a suncoast 4R100 tranny and billet triple disc t/c and I am extremely happy with there produsct. Other than stock I have no other experience with any other brands.
I called Precision today. They said the TC was about $1,050.00 plus shipping, maybe another $35.00 to NJ. Location would make a difference. It has a two year warranty. They are supposed to be the first with this design. I might try it on the 96 I am getting next week.
I ordered a Roadrunner torque converter last week should see it by this Wed.
I also bought a Factory tech valve body, will report back after install.

I am not familiar with noise coming from the T/C on dual and tripple disc. What kind of noise are we talking about as I am looking into getting a Suncoast T/C.

The early '99s that have a double disc TC make a rattling sound. Many compare it to a bunch of cans rolling around. I've got a TC lock up switch on mine, and when I lock it up at idle, the truck gets extremely quieter. According to the tranny guy at the local dealer, they just sound that way, and that's part of hte reason they went to a single disc TC in the newer models.
That's why I asked if the triple disc is any more noise, or if it depends on who made the tranny and TC, could be quieter.

Interesting......something I'll have to consider and check out before I buy.
Thanks.

I have absolutely NO noise whatsoever from my triple disk torque convertor, nor have I ever heard from the many others any noise issues from them? It may be an issue with the Suncoast double disk, but not with the triples that I've ever heard of!
Hmm...I think for those that would like to push Precision for a better deal...it could happen, as I paid about $100. less than stated above for mine...although I did have to pay the shipping and associated costs to get it to Canada.
It grabs like no other, and when locked...stays locked until YOU want it unlocked.
Since BTS uses the Precision triple disk, it was a big part of why I chose to try it, and its certainly worked perfectly ever since!
