Yes. As long as it had the same options and came from the same size and model of a truck.

The difference between the 2 is the connector for either gauges (18 pin) or Idiot lights (14 pin)

If you don't have it,I recommend getting the one for gauges rather than the idiot lights, then get a gauge cluster.

2) Another difference is the transmission B/U lights-NSS system.

3) The 77 came with the hazard light switch on the column

Does your 76 have that ?

No one "makes" a harness custom fit for our trucks that I know of. I got a complete bumper to bumper harness that worked very well for my 77 from painless performance. A bit pricey, but it came with everything I needed to completely rewire the truck, to include a 12 circuit fuse block. I did have to do some splicing for the the specific light connections, dash cluster, etc. The also have an awesome support department if you run into any snags!

painlessperformance.com is the site. You can't order directly from them, but a few of the FTE sponsors can get them for you....

Hope this helps!

The one I went with, 12 circuit universal, was about $400. As with anything else, the more options, the more expensive.

I agree with ya Dennis!

I had to replace my harness because the owners over the years hacked it all up and several wires was melted together. You will most likely be cheaper off by grabbing a multimeter, and a schematitic and troubleshooting it yourself.

The only thing the *engine running* is doing is sending power from the alternator to the battery.

Yet another grounding problem
