i have a 2000 excursion limited v10 2wd. i have searched the forum but still want to ask to get opinions of others. i am putting airbags on the rear because it sags all ready i do pull a 7x18 enclosed trailor and a 6x12 enclosed trailor but only with motorcycles in it nothing else! i see alot of them out there with 22" and a few with 24" but have heard the truck weights so much that it is unsafe? have also been told as long as i run the nitto or kumho tires they will hold the weight of the truck? i am looking at the giovoni sette in 22" or 24" but like i said want your opinions on if it will work safely? if i hit a pot hole at 55mph around town or 75mph on the interstate am i screwed? what tire would you recomend? i am going with the giovoni sette because it is supposed to be a very good strong wheel? thanks in advance for all your help! i have learned alot off this board about the x all ready!
I too have been looking to put a wheel tire combo on my Ex 4x4 but am seriously gunshy by the "new kids on the block". If you heed Monsta's advise and keep the ratings the same you should be fine.As for myself I am leaning toward the Weld wheels so if anything goes berzerk at least I have an American company I can wrap my mitts around the throat of.Good luck in your search.
