Saturday afternoon I pressed the accelerator pedal down on my 1969 F-100 240 cu in, 1bbl. truck and the pedal just stayed on the floor.
I got out and looked around and took the aircleaner off and discovered the linkage rod that connects the accelerator to the carb linkage, the carb end was broke off.
Basically its just a rod and each end is clips that snap on to the ***** of both the accelerator and carb.
Is this gonna be a hard part to find, or are they a dime a dozen at the salvage yard.
Since I'm not that close to any salvage yards I was wondering if NAPA or AutoZone would have a replacement.
A couple of ball end studs and some all thread avial at most any parts store will have ya on the road in time.
Edelbrock has a listing on thier web page sorry no picture of parts. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_.../general.shtml

I had to hunt high and low to find the "Ball joint-linkage" parts when I bought a new carb.....some parts shops are just too dumb to know what you are asking for....if you can't find the parts locally....Jegs has the ball studs and clip parts....you may have to just locate a length of 1/4" all thread to make the rod from....a local "performance" shop or one that specializes in muscle cars should have or be able to get what you need.
